โ€‹The 2018 US Supply Chain Compensation and Career Survey Report by APICS found that 96% of the industry reported high levels of satisfaction, with an average annual salary increase of three percent and an average salary reported of $85,000.   

Being employed in a buoyant and well-paying sector means there are plenty of opportunities to drive your career forward, apply for promotions or seek a salary increase for skilled work. A great first step when doing this is to find out your own value within your company and working out the salaries of your co-workers.  

Even asking your closest friend at work about their salary can make for an uncomfortable moment, and it is a task best approached with caution. However, there are approaches and methods to finding out peersโ€™ salaries which are both professional and risk-free.
