Responsibilities:
Sourcing
* Responsible for the development and leadership of a Strategic Sourcing team of global Commodity Managers to identify and execute contracts and pricing agreements with existing and new suppliers.
* Leads Supplier Development and Supplier Quality Engineers in identifying and developing new supply sources and monitoring current supplier performance.
* Co-leader with Engineering and Program Management in product cost-down initiatives.
* Leads and drives contract negotiations on agreements to support and assist the needs of the business.
Vendor Performance Measurement
* Establishes and maintains a structured negotiation process that facilitates contracting between the business and suppliers.
* Coordinates with suppliers and functional team members to develop annual goals and performance metrics, including annual financial business plans/budgets as well as revised KPIs.
* Routinely monitors and documents supplier processes, ensuring services meet the terms of agreement through appropriate controls and audits.
* Generates long-term agreements and negotiates price breaks that comply with production rates and business needs.
* Maintains supplier scorecard metrics and communicates performance results with vendors aiming to establish an efficient partnership.
Planning
* Leads the strategic planning process, optimizing an end-to-end continuous supply chain network across the global supply chain.
* Collaborates with the executive leadership team and key peer teams on global supply chain strategies, short-, mid- and long-term logistics plans, supply chain optimization and service strategies, capital expenditure justifications analysis and road maps.
* Identifies cost savings opportunity through data set analysis and drives improvement implementation.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required, advanced degree in related field is preferred.
* 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience in Supply Chain, Planning, and Aerospace Manufacturing Operations
Skills:
* Developing relationships with service providers
* Experience with sourcing functions, including developing category strategies, risk management, and metrics management.
* Demonstrated cost reduction performance.
