Supply Chain Planning Manager Overview:
A leading Global Leader in Specialty Chemicals is seeking a skilled Planning leader to oversee and optimize all supply chain planning operations, with a focus on material replenishment planning, inventory management, and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP). The Supply Chain Planning Leader will join a highly established, growing team to drive the planning strategy for end-to-end Supply Chain, Production & Inventory, and Sales & Operations.
SIOP Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for supply chain planning and scheduling operations, emphasizing material replenishment planning, inventory management, and SIOP processes to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
- Lead material replenishment plans to ensure timely availability of materials and components, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Optimize inventory levels through effective inventory management practices, including demand forecasting, safety stock planning, and inventory optimization techniques.
- Develop and implement SIOP processes to align sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels for improved business performance and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and production schedules, considering material availability and production capacity constraints.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, while also managing supplier performance and relationships effectively.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction, with a focus on material replenishment planning, inventory management, and SIOP.
SIOP Manager Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in supply chain planning roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with supply chain planning and scheduling software and systems, preferably SAP and advanced planning tools.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results and drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles and methodologies is a plus.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
