A leading provider or material processing solutions is looking to add a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to their growing team of passionate, talented individuals!
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead efforts for improving and maintaining fabrication as well as assembly methods used in material processing systems. The ideal candidate must be familiar with a range of processing and fabrication methods as well as enjoying working hands-on on a manufacturing floor. The selected individual will work directly with the VP of Engineering to prioritize engineering projects and responsibilities for other team members.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop metrics to monitor manufacturing flow to identify opportunity to improve quality and reduce product costs/cycle-time.
- Provide leadership to the manufacturing team including progress monitoring and planning.
- Working directly with procurement team in order to develop critical vendors/suppliers.
- Advising product development team to ensure manufacturability of new product designs as well as processes/procedures for new product introductions.
- Lead efforts for scrap reduction in manufacturing processes
- Develop work instructions to lead production staff and drive SOP.
- Work directly with leadership team to advise on manufacturing/production goals.
- Maintain safe practices.
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering REQUIRED
- 7+ years of experience in similar role - also open to hiring a Manufacturing Engineer, so can apply with as few as 2 years of experience.
- Familiarity with wide range of fabrication methods and direct hands-on experience on a manufacturing floor.
- Mechanical design, fixturing, tooling experience.
- Solidworks experience.
- Ability to work as a leader across manufacturing engineering projects and for more junior team members.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- High analytical and problem-solving ability.
