Job Purpose:
- Identify and address root causes to reduce downtime.
- Optimize equipment and develop standard procedures to increase production yields and ensure KPI achievement.
- Utilize statistical analysis tools to drive improvements in production processes.
- Implement effective process monitoring tools for quantifying and managing process characteristics.
- Lead cross-functional teams in troubleshooting processing or quality issues.
- Evaluate products for manufacturability and provide technical guidance for corrective/preventative actions.
- Manage key projects related to Health & Safety, Environmental, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Understand extrusion-based systems, liquid and solid feed systems, and flexible web systems.
- Lead teams in solving high-priority challenges and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify methods and equipment for efficiency improvement.
- Review machine condition reports and maintenance activities for improvement opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with upper management, proposing and demonstrating solutions.
- Support commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards.
- Develop and introduce effective preventative maintenance systems.
- Ensure machinery compliance with directives and British Standards.
- Identify and introduce best manufacturing practices and capital investment requirements.
Skills:
- 5+ years of extrusion and vulcanization manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge in thermoplastic processing, material science, and polymer extrusion.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Experience in Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.

- Logical and scientific thinking for problem-solving.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering or relevant industry.
