R&D Metals Engineer
A Fortune 500 chemicals manufacturer is looking for an R&D Metals Engineer to join their team in Buffalo, NY. In this role, you will utilize your pyro-mettallurgical expertise to propose new technologies and solutions that lead to new development programs.
The R&D Metals Engineer will:
- Work within and across organizational boundaries to lead, plan, and develop R&D project development activities from conception through completion
- Inform decisions and strategies for existing development programs for enhancing the technical prowess of the department
- Design and conduct testing and/or improvement plans within a combustion lab
- Research the intellectual property landscape and identify opportunities around key areas of expertise
The R&D Metals Engineer will possess:
- A Master's degree or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgical engineering
- 2 years of industry experience working in pyro-metallurgical and/or metal-making settings
- Ability to work fully on-site in the Buffalo, NY area
The R&D Metals Engineer should expect:
- Base salary of $100,000 - $130,000 + 10% bonus
