A global leader in the manufacturing space is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team in one of their key facilities in Delaware!
This Quality Engineer will contribute to on-site projects which will have a direct impact on the organization's growth. The candidate will report directly to the Quality Leadership team and will play a critical role in leveraging their strong quality engineering background to participate on projects at portfolio companies in wide-ranging industries.
The Quality Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Identify production issues on-site
- Devise solutions to fix and augment existing issues
- Work with Operations Manager to apply enhancements to the company
- Check on company infrastructure, materials, and production to confirm qualifications are up to standard
- Develop Score cards to measure customer satisfaction from a quality perspective to maximize customer satisfaction
- Review customer queries, change requests or reviews as necessary
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure processes, procedures and materials are up to organizational quality standards
- Ensure operations are in line with ISO best practices and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive improvements in manufacturing processes for new and existing product lines
- Conduct root-cause analysis to determine root-cause of potential quality issues then subsequently find solutions to rectify potential issues in order to maximize product quality and customer satisfaction
- Verify that procedures and materials meet safety requirements
- Create and incorporate quality management networks
- Oversee and detail quality performance of the companies
- Design and construct visual representations of processes
- Use media to create training information
The ideal Quality Engineer candidate will have the following skill set:
- 3+ years Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing industry environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar technical field
- Familiar with ISO-9001 or similar quality standard
- Strong knowledge of FMEA regulations
- Quality System Auditing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills and experience with the Mac platform
- Ability to think analytically and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- ASQ certification preferred
- Strong working-knowledge of LEAN Principles
