Quality Assurance Team Leader required for Leading Food Production Firm

Summary:
The Quality Assurance team leader will be responsible for the guidance of QA Technicians and maintenance of quality assurance programs to sustain industry standards.
The QA Team Leader should have the following skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or adequate years of experience within Food Science
- 2+ years' experience in Food Safety or Quality Assurance
- Food production or other cGMP Manufacturing environment preferred
- Expertise with HACCP guidelines
- USDA, FDA and other regulatory body experience
- SQF/BRC experience strongly preferred
The QA Team Leader will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for the compliance of FSQ, FSMA, and HACCP policies
- Work collaboratively with QA technicians to enhance company standards
- Ensure plant operations are compliant with FDA, USDA and HACCP guidelines
- Develop, implement and uphold operational KPIs to foster a best-in-class Quality program
- Maintenance of Plant environment and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Monitoring and identifying troubleshooting problems
- Prepare team members for inspections in areas with high contamination risk
