Our client are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project/Technical Manager to join their team in the Czech Republic. This role is pivotal in coordinating our relocation project and managing various stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. You will be instrumental in setting up production lines, ramping up projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a hands-on approach and will involve significant travel during the project period.
Key Responsibilities:
Relocation Project Coordination: Lead and manage all aspects of the relocation project of a manufacturing plant from Austria to Czech Republic, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
Production Line Setup: Oversee the setup of new production lines, ensuring they meet all operational and safety standards. Work closely with engineering and operations teams to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Ramp-Up Projects: Manage and execute ramp-up projects to increase production capacity. Develop and implement strategies to achieve production targets and meet market demand.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of 2-4 direct reports, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners. Report directly to the General Manager for the Czech Republic.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience: Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. A proven track record of completing successful production-related projects is essential.
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to drive standalone projects from inception to completion. Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong communication and organizational skills are crucial for this role.
Willingness to Travel: This role requires significant travel during the project period to oversee various aspects of the relocation and production setup.
Language Skills: Proficiency in Czech is required to effectively communicate with local teams and stakeholders.
