JOB TITLE: Project Management Engineer
INDUSTRY: Composite Steel
DSJ Global is currently partenered with a leading Composite Steel Manufacturer out of the Mobile, Alabama area. They are looking to bring on a new Project Management Engineer to oversee Capital Projects within the Maintenance & Engineering department, collaborating with stakeholders and managing individual portfolios to ensure completion aligns with planned expectations.
Project Management Engineer Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial environment supporting engineering and Capital project management
- Experience supervising and coordinating contractors to ensure timely project completion
Project Management Engineer Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project software
- Familiarity with SharePoint database
Project Management Engineer Responsibilities:
- Oversee capital projects from initiation to conclusion following the project management workflow
- Develop project budgets and schedules, ensuring accountability
- Evaluate bids and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Create technical documents such as scopes of work and equipment specifications
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
- Ensure project success through commissioning and integration into manufacturing processes
- Obtain as-built drawings, operating manuals, and maintenance manuals
- to the continuous improvement of the project management system
