Job Title: Production Supervisor
Overview: As a Production Supervisor at our esteemed automotive manufacturing company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines. You will oversee the day-to-day activities of production teams, ensuring that safety protocols are followed, production targets are met, and quality standards are upheld. This role requires a strong combination of leadership, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and optimize production processes.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise production teams to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.
Production Planning and Execution:
- Coordinate production schedules, ensuring timely completion of production orders while optimizing resource utilization.
- Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
Quality Assurance:
- Enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify quality issues and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address quality concerns and implement preventive measures.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety training sessions and promote awareness of safety best practices among production teams.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to track progress and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a production supervisory role within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of production processes, quality management systems, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as needed.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing (desirable).
