Job Summary: i am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Procurement to lead the procurement operations in France with a specific focus on APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and Packaging materials. The Director of Procurement will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, driving supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for APIs and Packaging materials, aligning with the company's overall objectives and global procurement strategy.
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure a stable supply chain, competitive pricing, and adherence to quality standards.
Cost Optimization: Continuously identify opportunities for cost optimization, negotiation, and cost reduction while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Supply Chain Resilience: Implement risk mitigation strategies to enhance supply chain resilience, monitor global market trends, and proactively address potential disruptions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and quality requirements related to the procurement of APIs and Packaging materials.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Finance, to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement function.
Talent Development: Build and lead a high-performing procurement team, providing coaching and development opportunities to team members.
Budget Management: Manage the procurement budget for APIs and Packaging materials effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in procurement, with a focus on APIs and Packaging materials within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of international procurement regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
