The Opportunity:
The role of the Category Analyst centers on the establishment and enhancement of processes that guarantee top-tier procurement methodologies. This involves actively engaging and promoting these practices throughout the entirety of the procurement organization, exerting influence over all sourcing and purchasing activities. The Category Analyst will provide assistance to Category Managers in various aspects, including category management, RFX projects, and addressing data inquiries spanning multiple functions. Success in this position hinges on adeptly collaborating with diverse internal and external business stakeholders, spanning all tiers of management.
Requirements:
- Assists Category Managers in sourcing activities, adhering to the established sourcing process.
- Gathers and assesses intricate datasets, then organizes findings for reports, meetings, and more.
- Enhances procurement procedures, tools, templates, and external supply chains using data-driven methods in collaboration with Category Managers.
- Pioneers and facilitates novel processes for the procurement division, encompassing capabilities like eSourcing, sustainability/ESG metrics, catalogue expansion, process automation, and procure-to-pay metrics.
- Leads training initiatives and guides team members in the Procurement department through the implementation of new processes and change management.
- Works in synergy with cross-functional teams to synchronize objectives and requisites for the development of fresh processes and tools.
- Oversees overall risk evaluation and monitoring tied to supplier management.
- Provides support to the business in crafting budget plans, refining procurement systems, and optimizing processes.
- Remains updated on pertinent economic, industry, supply market, and business trends to adjust strategies as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, business, management, or a related field is mandatory, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
- More than 3 years of experience in roles related to supply chain, demand planning, inventory management, or similar functions.
- Previous involvement in beverage manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with principles, procedures, and standards in accounts payable.
- Proficiency in utilizing ERP systems (like SAP, JDE, etc.) and automated procurement tools within Supply Chain and accounting contexts. Additionally, strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
- Profound understanding of financial and business analysis techniques, with adeptness in conducting spend and demand analysis.
- Inherent analytical inclination for autonomous market and industry analysis.
- Expertise in developing and executing RFX processes.
- Understanding of contract planning and execution.
- Knowledgeable about Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) considerations.
- General grasp of Supply Chain Management tools.
- Exceptional prowess in procurement applications.
- Outstanding communication skills, coupled with a capacity for analytical thinking and effective problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and influence individuals across all hierarchical levels within the organization.
