Job Summary:
I leading manufacturing firm is searching for a experienced Plant Manager to lead one of their Primary Facilities in Trenton, NJ. At a company with over 50 high-quality brands and $3 billion + in revenue annually, the individual chosen will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the manufacturing facility.
The veteran Plant Manager will be reporting directly to the VP of Operations while ensuring that production processes are run efficiently while meeting quality standards and following safety protocols. The Plant Manager is expected to have injection molding and extrusion experience and the ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills to develop strategies and drive continuous improvement.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for:
- Running day-to-day operations of the facility
- Allocating resources effectively and efficiently to yield optimal results
- Developing systems and processes to optimize productivity and efficiency to meet performance targets ensuring effective return on assets
- Work with and develop in cross functional teams to and strategies to ensure overall plant safety
- Keep facility in compliance with facility ISO standards and in line with all company guidelines
- Ensure proper training's are being created and developed in a timely manner
The Plant Manager will have the following skillset:
- Prior experience as a Plant Manager and/or Manufacturing Leader in a manufacturing industry - food or raw material preferred
- Ability to lead and manage cross functional teams at all levels
- Injection Molding or Extrusion experience a must
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving abilities
- 8+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- 4+ years management experience in a relevant environment
- Extensive knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and inventory
- Ability to operate at a high level on the production floor
