A global leader in the food manufacturing industry are looking for a Logistics Category Manager to join their procurement team. This role is ideal for an ambitious, curious and entrepreneurial person with an excellent business acumen and understanding.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for logistics services, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with logistics service providers, ensuring the best possible terms and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance, and take action to address any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations and delivery of products to customers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and use this knowledge to inform sourcing strategies and decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management or related field.
- Multiple years professional experience in logistics procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Additional languages extremely beneficial
