A global leader in the specialty chemical industry is actively searching for an International Logistics Manager based in Charlotte, NC. This individual would aid in developing and implementing regional logistic strategies, managing service provider performance, ensuring compliance with international trade laws, and assisting in freight and warehouse procurement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement regional logistic strategies aligned with agreed service levels
- Define service levels in collaboration with internal customers
- Establish country targets and budgets for managing and monitoring strategy implementation in International Logistics functions
- Innovate new market approaches to enhance efficiency and streamline processes with both service providers and internal stakeholders
- Manage performance of service providers through defining and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting performance dialogues, and addressing nonperformance through escalation procedures
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and service providers to address recurring issues and ensure effective resolution
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations by collaborating with all levels of the organization
- Assist in the procurement of freight and warehouse services/providers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- Customs Specialist Certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international logistics and minimum 2 years of experience in logistics procurement
- Knowledge of LeanSigma preferred
- Proficiency in SAP
- Thorough understanding of international trade laws and best practices
- Fluent in English, additional languages desired
