DSJ Global is supporting this global tier-1 automotive supplier to secure a new Head of Supply Chain for their site in Leverkusen - their largest European facility. With the responsibility to lead both the commercial and operational teams, this role will be instrumental in defining the future of the supply chain function (in order to continue meeting their growing volume requirements) and ensuring this is implemented at a granular level. Your Responsibilities:
- End-to-end responsibility for the Site Supply Chain topics covering Plan, Source, Make, Deliver
- Management of both the commercial and operational teams - approximately 30 employees
- Driving supply-chain performance, ensuring the availability of materials at all stages through interfacing closely with suppliers, internal operations/production and customers
- Ensuring that Customer (OEM) requirements are well met, acting as the top point of escalation for any crisis management
- Responsible for the development and implementation of process improvement, including the advancement of current planning and material management policies
Skills/Experience Required
- Several years of experience within the automotive industry, bring a strong familiarity of the supplier/customer relationship between OEM/Tier-1/Tier-2
- End-to-end supply chain knowledge
- Proven track-record of managing medium/large teams, with a passion for leadership and employee development
- Very good communication skills, capable of effectively managing internal and external stakeholder conflict, championing the voice of the Supply Chain function
- Result-driven personality - able to maintain performance under pressure
- Fluency in German
