Food Safety and Sanitation Lead (Cleveland, Ohio)

This position supports the FSQA department in upholding food safety and quality regulations and standards. Responsible for leading numerous sanitation programs and operations as well as providing lab support to ensure compliance and best practices are met. This role reports to the FSQA Supervisor and takes place just outside the Cleveland, Ohio area.
The Food Safety and Sanitation Lead will be responsible for:
- Constructing sanitation and 5S programs which comply with company-wide expectations.
- Ensuring protocols act in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as well as similar Food Safety Programs.
- Fostering continuous improvement by reporting quality deficiencies and tendencies to facility leadership.
- Instructing sanitation operations and FSQA team members as needed.
The Food Safety and Sanitation Lead should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
- Comprehension of HACCP/HARPC, Food Safety Programs and FDA mandates.
- 2+ years experience in food production and PCQI certification preferred.
