Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to understand product requirements, specifications, and target costs.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers and materials based on quality, cost, and production capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost targets without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate development of prototypes and samples.
- Monitor and track the progress of product development, providing updates and recommendations as necessary.
- Conduct competitive market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and product innovations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage product cost budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and quality control guidelines.
- Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, sustainability practices, and social compliance requirements.
Qualifications/ Skills Required (not limited to):
- Extensive knowledge about various aspects like material sourcing quality control etc., gained relevant experience preferably within either retail/fashion sectors.
- Strong organizational abilities; ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high attention levels on details
- Good analytical skills capable enough not only spotting issues but also putting forward possible resolutions.
- Excellent written/oral English language proficiency
