Overview:
As the Procurement Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the procurement process within our organization. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that procurement activities align with the company's goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in procurement, and a proven track record of driving cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the company's objectives while minimizing costs and maximizing value.
- Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with key vendors.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyze procurement costs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions and vendor performance issues.
- Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of procurement initiatives.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement processes, and regularly report on performance to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes, increase efficiency, and enhance overall effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management is essential.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement best practices, market trends, and industry dynamics within the relevant sector.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make sound business decisions.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and negotiate with external suppliers.

Additional Information:
- This position reports directly to the VP of Procurement.
- $145,000-170,000 annual salary
