The Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a distribution center. This includes managing and leading a team of employees, optimizing processes and systems, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through the facility. The Operations Manager will work closely with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of products to customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of employees in the distribution center
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
- Analyze and optimize distribution center processes and systems
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of products
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of orders and shipments
- Monitor and track inventory levels and demand forecasting
- Collaborate with logistics and customer service departments to ensure timely delivery of products
- Monitor and control budget and expenses
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, as well as safety and security protocols
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a distribution center or related environment
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and data analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
