Overview:
In collaboration with the Director/VP of Corporate Procurement, the Corporate Procurement Manager will formulate procurement strategies, identify value-creation prospects, and execute supplier strategies, emphasizing risk mitigation and innovation within the designated categories. This role involves critical tasks to ensure the supply of goods, aligning with the overall business strategy. The primary categories of focus include Packaging and co-manufactured products under the client's brands, with the possibility of additional categories as required. The incumbent will consistently assess and optimize vendor relationships to enhance productivity, increase profitability, and elevate product quality. Proactively involved in managing processes, the Corporate Procurement Manager plays a hands-on role in meeting or surpassing objectives based on profit and return on capital. Collaborating closely with Procurement leadership, the position ensures the achievement of customer satisfaction goals through optimal fill rates and merchandise quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Math, or Business.
- Essential skills in mathematics, communication, and basic business concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, accompanied by 4-6 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with PowerPoint and Data Warehouse queries.
- Capacity to swiftly learn new systems and facilitate cross-training for others.
