In light of their sustained expansion, my client is actively seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Senior Category Manager for MRO within their esteemed indirect procurement division. Responsibilities:
- Responsible strategy development: Develop and continuously improve a sustainable purchasing strategy for the MRO category, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Improvement projects: Proactive initiation and management of cross-functional and cross-location projects to sustainably reduce procurement costs
- Market analysis: Conducting market analyses and cost benchmarks to identify new maintenance solutions and implement standards in the product groups
- Negotiations: Coordination and implementation of cross-location tenders, strategic negotiations and conclusion of supply and framework contracts
- Supplier management: Qualification, development and integration of suppliers, as well as management of contracts and risks. The Sr. Category Manager MRO is responsible for strategic supplier selection.
- Digitisation: Driving digitisation and automation to increase efficiency and value creation.
- Collaborations: Advice and support to the local purchasing teams and the technical areas with regard to the MRO product group
Requirements:
- Completed business studies (diploma, master, bachelor) and at least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in the area of purchasing and supply chain management
- very good knowledge of category management and project management, business fluent English, technical affinity
- strong interest in modern and digital work, courage and enthusiasm to meet the challenges in changing markets and operational processes with innovative solutions
- Negotiation skills, communication skills and skills in dealing with suppliers/stakeholders
- High degree of initiative, sense of responsibility and commitment with an independent and goal-oriented working style as a team player with a strong feedback culture
