Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Air Freight Branch Manager to lead our Brussels branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air freight operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive growth and efficiency within the branch. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage a team, develop business opportunities, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage the Brussels air freight branch, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch performance targets and KPIs.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional development and high performance.
Operations & Service Delivery:
- Oversee all air freight operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with global and regional teams to optimize air freight processes and improve service delivery.
- Manage and resolve any operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the branch's customer base and market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the branch budget, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular financial and operational reports to senior management.
Customer Focus:
- Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through timely and effective communication and service delivery.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain quality standards and implement best practices in air freight operations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in air freight operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of air freight industry regulations, practices, and market trends.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is highly desirable.
