- Maintaining and improving compliance with H&S, transport, and licence requirements through continuous professional development and being aware of all legislative changes that affect the operation.
- Closely monitoring the client volume forecasts, plan and adjust resources levels to ensure that they are in line with operational requirements.
- Ensuring that the transport operation, drivers and fleet are ran fully in line wit policy and are fully compliant with requirements and the obligation of the licence.
- Ensuring the efficient and effective achievement of all operational targets and key performance indicators.
- Ensuring that customer requirements are always fulfilled to the highest possible standards.
- Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the client
- Driving, encouraging and developing a safety culture amongst colleagues
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a transport environment, along with knowledge of legislation and working time directive. You will have experience managing a team. You will be customer focused and a confident decision maker. You will be IT literate with the ability to use MS Office packages.
