This client is a highly successful supplier to multiple Transportation industries, having carved out a dominant space in the market as a premium provider of Electronic Systems. With continued growth ambitions, this company is prioritizing development of the Supplier Quality function to ensure the long-term growth and performance of their Supply-Chain. This includes the hiring of this position, a new Supplier Quality Manager, to join the team in Ulm.
Responsibilities
- New Suppliers: Responsible for the evaluation and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring quality and robustness as the supplier portfolio grows
- Existing Suppliers: Management of existing suppliers, collaborating with partners to optimize supplier performance
- Creation and Implementation of new processes and methods, as well as KPI systems to effectively monitor and improve performance across the portfolio
- Escalation point for Root Cause Analysis, driving 8D and the implementation of corrective action
- Responsibility to plan and execute audits
Skills/Experience Required
- Technical education background or technical knowledge developed through professional experience
- Proven supplier quality experience within an industrial setting (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Production-focused environment)
- Sound knowledge of quality tools and methods (e.g. 8D, process and product audits, SPC etc)
- Working experience with SAP
- Fluency un German
