Strategic Sourcing Manager - Capex & Construction

Our client, a fast growing medical device organization, is searching for a Strategic Sourcing Manager for the Capex & Construction Category which will have strategic oversight and responsibility for all of the annual capital and construction expenditures for all facilities and distribution centers across North America.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Capex & Construction will manage and provide guidance to the ongoing and upcoming strategic sourcing projects, as well as identify opportunities to develop and execute sourcing action plans to drive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) targets. The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Capex & Construction will also ensure that the strategic direction of the department is implemented and adhered to throughout the department.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Capex & Construction will be responsible for:
- Negotiating RFP's, MSA's, Service Agreements and other agreements for the Capex & Construction related category
- Conducting regular reviews of supplier scorecards and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement of suppliers
- Managing complex system wide projects as it relates to equipment purchases and service agreements
- Providing detailed, constructive developmental feedback throughout the projects as well as during the performance review process
- Optimizing cash by extending supplier payment terms and/or negotiating term discounts
- Coordinating across corporate, functions, divisions to share best practices and adherence to guidelines
- Supervising and developing Buyers and Sourcing Specialists to meet efficiency and KPI targets
The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Capex & Construction has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or other relevant field
- 4+ years experience in indirect sourcing
- Experience sourcing within the CapEX and/or MRO categories
- Advanced contract negotiation skills
