I am currently supporting an electronics manufacturing company who directly work with tier one automotive suppliers to provide business to business (B2B) solutions and products. They aim to offer the highest level of service and guality which gives them access to competitive and innovative industrial garde products.
They are very well known for offering an integrated structure for data communication. They have made a huge investment and underwent a transformation within the company to grow their procurement team due to increased demand and electrification within the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple project processes and procurement activities with regards to new product development within the prototype stage
- Establish and develop the current global supplier base
- Conduct supplier evaluation and analysis to measure progress and quality
- Work with suppliers to develop their processes, conduct technical audits and facilitate supplier talks and workshops
- Collaborate cross departmentally to create and maintain specifications, requirements and technical clarification queries with suppliers
- Manage the relationship internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively support and monitor projects with regards to cost, quality and time.
- Conduct a value analysis and analyze costs to create cost savings through the optimization of support structures and functions
- Conduct the supplier selection and qualification process, cost planning, cost timeline and design to cost activities
- Control procurement activities relevant to prototyping
Your Profile:
- Fluent English and minimum C1 German
- Bachelor's degree minimum - preferably in mechanical engineering or any technical studies
- 5 years' experience within procurement working with Electronics/ EMS
