Job Purpose
This position is part of the 3rd part manufacturing Procurement team, with a focus on the European Procurement organisation and is based in The Netherlands . In this role you will be responsible for sourcing part of the AkzoNobel branded, externally bought or toll manufactured, paint related finished products category, called 3rd Party Manufacturing (3PM) within the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
these tasks include the Implementing, Sourcing and Procuring activities in the assigned geographical area in alignment with the category's objectives and ALPS Source processes, such as:
- Supplier selection in alignment with manager and key-stakeholders, negotiation and QDCIS improvement for his/her portfolio/supplier base
- Responsible for the supplier relationship management in his/her area of responsibility, ensuring mutually beneficial supplier relationships and collaboration at all organizational levels.
- Responsible for agreeing best possible conditions for his/her suppliers, to capture this in required pricelist models and to make sure these are offered for implementation at the right moment
- Responsible for contract management: contract development, approval, implementation and maintenance.
- Acting as key-interface between Procurement, Sourcing, RD&I, Sales & Marketing (MSU), Planning, Manufacturing and Commercialization
- Managing supply risk for his/her area, and supporting escalated supply issues resolution.
- Jobholder will be expected to act as ambassador on behalf of a centrally organized discipline while working with decentralized and BU specific disciplines. This includes safeguarding and promoting the Procurement way of working.
What do you bring?
You have a Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering or Business management and bring minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or sourcing function with relevant experience in negotiating and managing suppliers. You have strong MS Office, MRP (Eg. SAP) and/or Advanced procurement management applications (Eg. CLM) skills. A strong command and understanding of fundamental analytical techniques, and ability to accurately draw conclusions and interpret data is a must have.

Next to that you have the ability to perform, understand and present detailed information analysis and evaluation and have a problem solving, solution and action-oriented mindset. You bring excellent stakeholder management skills. Being fluent in written and spoken English is a must. You are also able to multitask, comfortable with conflict and able to deal with pressure.
