Procurement Manager - Chemicals Category

Our client, a fast growing and international chemicals organization, is searching for a Procurement Manager who will be focusing on supporting the procurement function for chemicals purchasing, and will proactively monitor raw material supplies and market availability. The ideal candidate will have at least 4+ years of chemicals commodity sourcing experience.
The Procurement Manager - Chemicals (new role) will be responsible for identifying sources, as well as identify opportunities to develop and execute sourcing action plans to drive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) targets. The Procurement Manager - Chemicals will support the development of category strategies for key raw materials on a global basis.
The Procurement Manager - Chemicals will be responsible for:
- Negotiating RFP's, MSA's, Service Agreements and other agreements for Raw Materials related categories as part of the global site procurement team
- Continuously monitoring demand development against negotiated contract volumes and actively propose countermeasures if needed
- Conducting regular reviews of supplier scorecards and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement of suppliers at the local, regional, and international levels
- Providing detailed, constructive developmental feedback throughout the projects as well as during the performance review process
- Optimizing cash by extending supplier payment terms and/or negotiating term discounts
- Analyzing and reporting regional and global chemical industry trends and technological developments
The Procurement Manager - Chemicals has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or other relevant field
- 8+ years of overall supply chain experience
- 4+ years experience in sourcing Raw Materials / Chemicals categories (required)
- Advanced contract negotiation skills
