We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Automation Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming PLC and HMI systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of automated manufacturing processes and equipment.
PLC Automation Technician Responsibilities:
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and HMI systems, primarily using Allen Bradley, B&R, or Siemens platforms.
- Lead and mentor a team in the functionality, repair, and optimization of automated equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of PLC-controlled systems to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in automation systems.
- Utilize strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing to support operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement improvements and upgrades to existing automation systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance.
PLC Automation Technician Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming and automation, with proficiency in Allen Bradley, B&R, or Siemens devices.
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role, overseeing and developing others in the functionality and repair of equipment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with high and low-pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, and boilers.
- Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
