The ideal candidate for this role will bring food and beverage manufacturing experience in a management role. The company is a leading manufacturer, processor and distributor of food service, food ingredient and retail offerings!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing while ensuring policies and procedures are followed
- Develop processes that maximize ownership, stewardship, safety, quality and productivity
- Comply with safety work rules
- Reinforce Safety as a core value throughout the organization
- Ensure that all policies, procedures and activities (related to Food Safety & Quality) are followed
- Assume personal responsibility for a safe and healthy workplace for all employees
- Adhere to safe work practices and all safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to Quality work practices
- Follow GMP's and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure that product quality is maintained
- Provide overall leadership, direction and coordination for plant operations
Requirements:
- 10+ years of related experience and training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Bachelor's Degree from a four year college/university, preferably in Food Science, Engineering or Management
- Demonstrated knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Extensive track record of achieving results against KPIs
- Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills
- Ability to analyze downtime and financial variance trends, identifying actions to deliver expected performance
- Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics
- Ability to present information to all levels of the company
- Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Food manufacturing experience
- USDA experience a plus
