The Maintenance Manager is an integral part of the team, contributing to the success by being accountable for the day-to-day operation of the maintenance and utilities functions of a seven-day per week, 24-hrs per day pharmaceutical chemical manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with other site functions (Engineering, EHS, Operation, Warehouse, Quality) on key decisions related to facilities maintenance, repair, and related projects
- Oversight of all work activities for repair and maintenance of facility and equipment to meet site priorities of safety, cGMP, and cost effectiveness
- Plans and adheres to departmental budget by developing methods for estimation and control of costs
- Develops and communicates clear goals and standards, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with DEA, FDA, EPA, OSHA, and other associated regulations
- Provide a motivating work environment, support skills and career development of direct reports by measuring performance and providing feedback through periodic reviews
- Provide strategic direction and planning for long equipment reliability and high uptimes
- Optimization of preventative maintenance programs fro reduction of out of service time
- Implementation of systematic planning and scheduling process for efficient utilization of human capital and financial resources
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years direct maintenance experience and leadership of an industrial facility
- Experience preferably in a manufacturing facility
- Strong leadership skills to lead, direct and develop multi-skilled maintenance technicians, strong track record of mentoring and developing direct reports
- Exceptional capability to engage technically and influence cross-cross functionally
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, mechanical Blueprints, and P&IDs
- Experience in predictive and preventative maintenance and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of safety and FDA GMP regulatory requirements
- Formal education and/or training in industrial technology or engineering
- Working knowledge of the maintenance of chemical manufacturing equipment including, pumps, mixers, reactors, electrical and process control systems and utility systems including, boilers, compressed air and refrigeration
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or industrial technology preferred
