We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement to join our client, a leading Automotive company based in Mannheim, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement team and ensuring the procurement function is aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing and managing the procurement team to ensure the procurement function is aligned with the company's strategic goals
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and improve supplier performance
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts to ensure the best value for the company
- Developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement requirements are met
- Managing procurement budgets and ensuring cost savings targets are achieved
- Ensuring procurement processes are efficient and effective
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience in a Head of Procurement role
- Experience working in the Automotive sector
- Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in a global procurement function
- Knowledge of German procurement regulations
- Experience working with international suppliers
