Our client, a leading hotel chain with operations across Europe is seeking a procurement lead to manage their direct and indirect procurement across their network. They operate with 30 sites in over 19 cities and are growing rapidly. This a really great opportunity to lead an exciting company on its growth path.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of two members
- Drive procurement initiatives including improvement in payment terms and planning / controlling purchasing
- Be responsible for the implementation of the purchasing strategy and vision with a focus on generating substantial added value through strategic purchasing
- Establish close cooperation with departments such as Operations, Projects, IT, Commerce
- Ensure that development of further methods and processes in procurement is taking place
- Provide analyses for board management
- Obtain competitive quotations as per given requirements and policies. Negotiate with suppliers. Take action on non-performing supplier
- Prepare purchase contracts and ensures that purchases are made based on the Best Value for Money approach
- Ensure that the goods/services are delivered as per the agreed schedule and quality
- Communicate with all related internal and external parties regularly to ensure strong support
- Monitor vendors for quality, service and price
- Support the Procurement Manager improvement initiatives and actively propose improvements in the field of procurement
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar procurement role, expertise in the hospitality industry is a plus
- Experience in developing complete category strategies
- Leadership and strong negotiation skills including a strong ability to develop negotiation strategies for complex activities
- Ability to evaluate legal and business risks and ramifications of proposed contractual terms
