Job Title: Global Category Manager R&D
Location: UK (hybrid basis)
Company: Leading Agrichemical Firm
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Category Manager R&D to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will have a scientific background and at least 5 years of sourcing experience, preferably within pharmaceutical or agrichemical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for R&D categories, including CRO/Contract research organizations.
- Drive cost savings, value creation, and innovation through effective supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop category strategies that align with the company's overall goals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential suppliers.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement new sourcing initiatives and continuously improve supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required, advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of sourcing experience, with a strong track record of success in R&D categories.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or agrichemical industries preferred.
- Proven ability to source and manage CRO/Contract research organizations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
