Position Overview: As the Manager of Automation, you will lead the automation team, overseeing project planning and providing daily supervision for production equipment support. Your role is vital in aligning systems and processes, ensuring effective controls, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a vision for a high-performing automation team that aligns with strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with site registrations, GMPs, and environmental regulations for effective operations.
- Lead and mentor the automation specialists, providing support for production equipment and capital projects.
- Oversee facility and equipment design, commissioning, and qualification activities.
- Implement automation improvements to maintain GMP and industry best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends, identifying opportunities for workforce development.
- Drive projects to enhance quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, risk reduction, and plant capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and regulators to ensure compliance and meet business objectives.
- Foster a high-performance team through effective leadership and performance management.
- Support the development of metrics to measure organizational performance and identify process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field, or equivalent Science or Manufacturing Management related field, or a combination of education and industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team in the pharmaceutical environment, with expertise in facility and utility standards for the industry.
- Direct experience with large scale mechanical systems, such as HVAC, 20,000+ CFM Air Handlers, and 20,000 CFM Exhaust Systems.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical equipment and processes.
