Engineering and Facilities Manager

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading retail company seeking a self-motivated and goal-oriented Engineering and Facilities Manager to join their growing Greer, South Carolina team.
The Engineering and Facilities Manager will be responsible for:
- Assuming direct reporting responsibility for all Maintenance Mechanics as well as indirect responsibility for non-exempt maintenance employees
- Managing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring schedules are adhered to in order to minimize downtime
- Providing technical expertise in the areas of sortation, electrical and mechanical systems
- Completing quality audits of mechanic work tasks and communicate results
- Identifying and proposing meaningful improvements to the material handling system to improve productivity, quality and/or service
- Opening, assigning and closing scheduled work orders and creating non-scheduled work orders
- Obtaining and reviewing contractor bids for repairs and facility projects and coordinating projects to fit the business needs and parameters, while ensuring contractor adherence to quality, scheduling and budgetary guideline standards
- Maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulation that affect the plant operations
- Performing root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions/failures and taking required corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence
- Managing/overseeing facility waste disposal program to ensure regulatory compliance
- Managing/overseeing the repair and maintenance of equipment, assigning work orders, and ensuring safety and production related work orders are highest priority
As the Engineering and Facilities Manager, you should have:
- The ability to lead cross-functional teams with diverse goals and responsibilities
- Demonstrate skill in driving initiatives related to teams, projects and quality
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, to include trouble-shooting, prioritizing and multi-tasking
- The ability to quickly learn business processes outside one's area of expertise
- Nimbleness, with the innovation to apply process improvement initiatives
- Strong computer skills (specifically, MS Office, WMS Application)
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required
