DSJ are partnered with a leader in the Medical Devices space, looking to hire a new Supplier Development Director who will manage the entire function across EMEA and APAC. Being in a highly-regulated market, the ideal candidate will be used to leading teams in a similar environment (Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals etc), and passionate about the role Supplier Quality plays, adding-value across the Supply-Chain. This position is expected to strategically develop the function, continuing to improve capabilities and drive process efficiencies within the group.
The Role:
- Responsibility for the Supplier Development function across EMEA and the Asia Pacific Region
- Manage the international team of 10+ Direct Reports
- Lead the continuous improvement of the Supplier Development - developing more efficient processes, and methods for the function to interface across the organization
- Act as the highest escalation point for non-conformity / root-cause analysis issues
- Oversee performance and improvement across the entire supplier portfolio, including the implementation and monitoring of corrective actions
- Act as the head Supplier Development contact, interfacing closely with the Quality, Procurement, Operations, and R&D functions
Experience/Skills Required:
- Working knowledge of similar high-regulation environments (Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals etc) would be highly advantageous
- Experience managing large teams across multiple locations
- Passionate about driving continuous improvement and further developing the supplier development function
- Focused on a teamwork oriented approach - able to drive transparent communication across the function, while allowing teams autonomy in their decision-making
- Strong ability in conflict resolution - able to successfully 'push-back' against internal stakeholders and suppliers
