Director of Manufacturing Summary:
A global leading Medical Device manufacturing company is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to join the Operations Leadership Team in their Maryland facility.
The Director of Manufacturing will have the following Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the Quality team and other cross-functional departments to guarantee that the product quality is the top priority
- Developing and executing business strategies
- Make sure that process and procedures are complying while meeting production objectives
- Maximizing the efficiency of production operations
- Working cross-functionally to solve any problems that may occur in the production process to improve plant performance
- Make sure that correct manufacturing support is in place for R & D projects
- Ensure that products meet customer needs
- Making sure on-going and future production demands are met
- Coaching and Leading employee's production processes
- Work with performance meetings and providing methods to improve company performance
- Support the development of new process technology to guarantee groundbreaking production processes
- Ability to perform other related job duties
The Director of Manufacturing will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in operations required; experience in a pharmaceutical or a medical device facility preferred
- LEAN/Six Sigma Certifications a plus
- Expertise in cGMP and other industry guidelines
- Experience leading a dynamic team in a heavily regulated environment
- High-energy individual who has strong verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and productively communicate and demonstrate decision making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, coach and motivate the team to achieve and surpass targets
- Familiar with Lean Six Sigma procedures
- Previous experience creating and managing budgets
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, GMP'S and ISO 13485 preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- SAP and MES experience preferred
